No doubt you have seen beautiful hot air balloon gifts popping up on your socials. So we decided to stock them on our website for you guys as well, no more FOMO. Like with anything we stock, we always try it out ourselves. With keeping everything transparent, the very first bobo balloon I made, it accidently popped. Note to self don't hold your weeding tool while trying to position the lights/ribbon, rookie mistake, oops.
Then I tried my second attempt and it was perfect. I wanted to try again this time with a ribbon around the balloon and the lights inside the box. That looked very good too, ok maybe I'm a bit biased, but take a look for yourself.
So why not try these cute hot air balloon style gifts for your loved ones. The set comes with a 70cm balloon stick and LED lights.
Tips on how to make yours:
1. Gather all your supplies
2. Stretch out your bobo balloon (before inflating the balloon) see the image below
3. Once you have stretched out your bobo balloon, you can go ahead and inflate it, and tie a knot once desired size is reached (not more than 40-44cm inflated).
4. Get a string to measure out the size of how big your decal needs to be (I did mine approx. 25cm wide).
5. Cut out your decal using our wonderful Oracal 651 collection with your favorite cutting machine.
6. Weed out your design and use your favorite transfer tape to help apply your decal to your balloon. It is a good idea to mark out where you want to place your decal by using a small piece of painters tape or oratape.
7. Once you have applied your decal to the balloon, you can begin to peel the transfer tape away on a slight angle. Be sure to be very gentle in your process.
8. Now you can assemble the balloon by attaching the LED lights, you can string them through the balloon stick and wrap them around the balloon (be sure not to pull and tug so avoid popping the balloon or damaging your LED lights).
9. Put your assembled balloon in a box or however you'd like to present your beautiful bobo balloon gift for your loved one.
10. Your hot air balloon gift is ready!
